Nordic Semiconductor showcased its style at the 28th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (Guangya Exhibition)! They demonstrated the high-performance capabilities of their low-power wireless chips and IoT solutions, showcasing the Matter smart home application powered by Nordic wireless chips to visiting customers. As the earliest company in China to introduce low-power wireless products originating from Nordic Semiconductor, we are particularly concerned about the content of this exhibition.

On May 18, 2023, the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) released Matter 1.1, which includes updates that make it easier for device manufacturers and developers to get started with Matter, and make it easier to authenticate their products and provide them to users faster. Matter 1.1 has enhanced support for a type of device suitable for many smart home products - Intermittent Connected Devices (ICDs), sometimes referred to as "sleep devices," which are typically battery powered devices such as contact, motion, and temperature sensors, as well as door locks and switches. These devices need to save electricity to achieve optimal operation and lifespan. With additional support, the likelihood of devices going offline is further reduced, and these improvements mean that developers can more easily optimize their products and create a better user experience.
